User Research
Based on the information I gathered from Brainstorming Session, Interviews and research, I was able to identify and understand the user needs which allowed me to construct personas and their journey map.
First Wireframe
The main purpose of UI/UX Design is to make the technology easier to use so the first step is to come up with ideas and this is done through some brainstorming session. Each idea is represented by a wireframe and from each wireframe I took those feature or idea which I think will make the application more Usable, Equitable, Enjoyable and Useful.
The same sketches of the wireframes has now been converted to its digital form called the Low Fidelity Wireframe using applications like Figma and Adobe XD. The same low fidelity wireframes will be used to create a Low Fidelity Prototype which will go through an unmoderated Usability Testing where the users will be given a set of tasks to complete and based on the results, necessary changes will be made before moving on to High Fidelity Prototype.
High Fidelity Prototype
The final stage of UX design is to create a High Fidelity Prototype but before creating the prototype we must decide on three thinngs:
Typography Hierarchy:
Method of ordering typefaces and fonts in a layout to create division that show user where to focus. For this project the typeface used was San Serif and the font name is Roboto.Use of Color:
For Use of Color I followed the 60-30-10 rule or layout. 60 being the Neutral color which in this case is Blue Purple(#ACACE6) and 30 and 10 being Complementary color and Accent color which is Light Purple and White respectively.Iconography:
For this project I used less number of icons to make the design more spacious and simple which will allow the users to navigate through the app more easily.
Final Design before handing the project over to the Engineering Team
The information I got after conducting a usability study and face to face interviews broaden my perspective because of which I was able to redesigned the app and make it more usable and enjoyable for users. Every phase of design sprint is important in making the perfect app.
Next step would be to conduct more Research and Usability Test to get more information and use those information to stay ahead of the competitors by making changes in the form of updates.
